The Equality Act 2010

Walter Everett Ltd recruits, advertises, and assesses every candidate in line with the Equality Act 2010. We do not discriminate on the basis of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage or civil partnership, pregnancy or maternity, race, religion or belief, sex, or sexual orientation - the nine protected characteristics set out in the Act.

In practice, this means job specifications are reviewed to remove unnecessary or exclusionary requirements, advertising is checked for biased language before it goes live, and every candidate introduced to a client is assessed purely against the requirements of the role.

This isn't a one-off policy statement - it's actively reviewed against every brief we take on, and clients are welcome to ask how a specific role or process has been assessed against it.
